At this time of year we are all looking for gifts to buy and sometimes we might even buy a little something for ourselves. Here is a list of all of the DVD choices you have if you want some David Tennant to watch in the coming year, eh legally!  Suffice to say Doctor Who is on DVD in many different collections and in all regions, this is a list of everything else!

Rab C. Nesbitt - Series 3 - Episodes 1 To 6 -this DVD was released in 2005 and includes the episode Touch which features David as Davina.

Takin'Over the Asylum was released on DVD in 2008 and in addition to containing the complete series, three episodes to a disc, there is also DVD commentary on episodes two and five by David Tennant, Katy Murphy and the writer Donna Franceschild.  There is also a clip from David's audition.

The movie Jude, starring Christopher Eccleston, featuring a small cameo with David Tennant, was released on DVD in 2001.

In 2011 the movie L.A. Without a Map, starring David, was released on DVD and includes the trailer, cast interviews, on set footage and a making of featurette. This film is available in regions 2 (UK) and region 1 (US).

The same is true of the film The Last September. You can buy this film on DVD since 2000 in both formats.

The first TV appearance that we find available in both regions is The Mrs. Bradley mysteries - Complete Series 1, David appears in the first episode Death at the Opera - oh and the 5th Doctor, Peter Davison features in this series as well.

David makes two cameo appearances in a UK film called Being Considered, which you can also find on DVD, even though it was released in The Netherlands it is still region 2.

Another UK series in which David appears in episode one was Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) - you can buy the entire series as a box set lucky for us you can also buy just series one on DVD as well! WATCH out if you order it though because there was  US version of this show, available in region 1, which not only doesn't have David, it doesn't have Vic & Bob either!

David appeared in the Richard Wilson series High Stakes in 2001 alas the second season, which he was in never aired, but when released on DVD all eight episodes were included!

Back to good news for US fans - the series People Like Us is available in Region 1 and 2 - you can catch David classic performance as the not so successful actor Rob Harker.

Thanks again to the wonderful people as PBS, Foyle's War is also available in Region 1 and 2 - David was in Series 1 episode 3 - A Lesson in War and can buy just Series One - which is a good thing since the entire box set of Foyle's War is over $100!

The wonderful Bright Young Things directed by Stephen Fry is another film you can get in the US and the UK  and usually for under $10.  The mini-series He Knew He was Right with David as the Rev.Gibson was also released on both sides of the Pond. Unfortunately Blackpool is still only available as Region 2.

Finally we get back to a DVD's with David on the cover - Casanova -and it's available, again thanks PBS, in Regions 1 and 2 and Secret Smile, Hamlet, The Decoy Bride and Glorious 39.

Glorious 39

Learners, Einstein and Eddington, The Quatermass Experiment, Single Father and True Love all have David on the cover, but are only Region 2!
The BBC Quatermass Experiment [DVD] [2005]

Other Region 2 releases you can find David on are This is Jinsy, The Chatterly Affair, The Catherine Tate Show - Nan's Christmas Carol,  and St. Trinian's II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.

Lastly the films United, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Fright Night are all available on both sides of the Pond and if you get the Blu-Ray of Fright Night you can see a cool short called Peter Vincent Swim Inside My Mind! The best news is that most new DVD players and laptops play multi-region DVD's so spend at will!
