The BFQ started on Channel Four in 2004 with three teams of two celebrities each answering questions about the news and events of the previous year and Jimmy Carr as the host.
On December 26, 2005 David appeared in the studio to ask a "what happens next question" concerning his first words spoken as The Doctor. On the December 30, 2007 show there was a clip from The Doctor Who episode Blink asking the panel why it was important not to blink and he asked a question via video tape about 'balloon boy' on the 2009 quiz which aired January 1, 2010.
