Big Chief Studios UK are going to be issuing a new 12" vinyl figure of David as The comic verion of the 10th Doctor.  A limited edition of 3000 will be issued this summer.

"From his spikey hair, to his trademark flowing trench coat and pinstriped suit, the Tenth Doctor strikes a confident pose ready for his next time-travelling adventure.

Produced in a Worldwide Collectors Limited Edition of 3000, each figurine comes with a Doctor Who logo base and is packed in a window display box."

The company also sells an art print of the IDW comic version of The Doctor.

In honor of the Mars landing today, a little trivia from The Waters of Mars.

The episode was filmed from February 23rd - March 19th, 2009.  They filmed at Cemex, Taff Well's quarry, Pentyrch,Cardiff (surface of Mars), The National Botanical Gardens of Wales Hydroponic Centre, Great Glass House, Victoria Place Newport (Adelaide's House), Next Generation Data, Imperial Park, Newport (Bowie base infrastructure and tunnels) and Upperboat Studios.

The TARDIS was on display in November of 2009 back at the Glass House to coincide with the broadcast of the episode.

The original title was Red Christmas and was going to be a festive holiday special. The design of the base was based on the Gerry Anderson series UFO and the name Bowie Base is a nod to the David Bowie song Life on Mars. The episode won a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, short form.

You can arrange the letter of the episode title to spell Wars of the Master eluding to his return in The End of Time.

Character Options issued two 12" figures of the Tenth Doctor. The first in June of 2006 in the blue suit and on January 1, 2007 in the orange space suit.  The clothes on these figures are clothes not plastic and they do come off. (insert your own fangirl thoughts)

The Doctor Who Time Travelling Action Game was released by Toy Brokers Ltd. in August 2007.  You move your Doctor around the board to capture enemies by collecting tokens, but the electronic board can revolve at anytime to move your piece.  In the center of the board was a TARDIS with light and sound effects.

In 2007 David turned on the lights at Blackpool and there was a large selection of Doctor Who themed illuminations as well! In 2008 and 2009 they extended the Doctor Who theme once again, here are a few glass panels that featured David.
